Choosing a Custom Home Contractor:
Whether you are building a new home or remodeling, it's important to choose a licensed general contractor that makes you feel confident and can deliver a high quality home that meets your personal needs. Ask for references. The best way to learn about a builder is to visit homes they have built. Never choose a contractor based solely on price. Thoroughly research and contact more than one contractor. Ask about their availability and be sure to get an approximate completion date. Experience, integrity, superior craftsmanship, ability to stay on schedule, meet deadlines and budget forecasts should all be considered when deciding on the right custom home builder for you. Make sure your contractor has an general liability umbrella policy. All contractors on this site are licensed and bonded, but should you use another contractor, be sure to verify their Washington State Contractor's License.
Quick Tip: Tour homes, visit home improvement stores, look at appliances, fixtures, paint, flooring, lighting, etc. and have an idea of not only what you want, but the differences in quality and price. Knowing what you want, and what you are willing to pay for it, can help your contractor give to a more realistic estimate and save you time and headaches in the future.
