Choosing a Window or Door Contractor:

Whether your are remodeling, building a new home or just looking for replacement windows, doors or glass, you have a lot of options. The most commonly purchases windows are the new energy efficient low-e vinyl windows. They are available an amazing variety of styles, shapes and colors. Other options for windows and doors include wood, wood clad, aluminum and fiberglass. Your choice will usually depend on your budget - also note that double hung and triple pane windows may significantly increase your price. If you are looking for replacement windows, make sure that when getting bids from different companies, you are comparing exactly the same type of windows. Also, always ask about warranties. All contractors on this site are licensed and bonded, but should you use another contractor, be sure to verify their Washington State Contractor's License and ask for references.

Quick Tip: According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), homes lose up to one third of their heat through their windows and doors. You can increase your energy efficiency and save money by replacing your old windows. The greater the R-value is on your window, the less money you have to spend on energy bills. Low-E glass is up to four times more efficient than clear glass.
