Choosing a Electrical Contractor or Electrician:
An electrical contractor is different from an electrician; an electrician is an individual tradesman and an electrical contractor is a business person or company that employs electricians. Whether your project is new construction, major renovation, new electric panel and service upgrade, or repair of existing electrical items such as wiring, outlets, and lighting, you want a licensed electrician with experience, technical proficiency, who knows your local code and electrical standards. (The National Electrical Code™ (NEC) is the nationally recognized electrical safety standard and has been adopted by the wide majority of building inspection authorities at state and local levels.) Be sure to get a firm estimate, and know who is going to pay for any permits and inspections, get specific time frames for completion of the specified work and check their references. All general and specialty contractors on this site are licensed, but should you use another contractor, be sure to verify their Washington State Contractor's License.

Quick tip: Know where your electrical panel is located and make sure all your circuit breakers are marked, making it easier to reset or turn them off in an emergency. Keeping a flashlight near your panel can also save time and frustration.
Very well qualified and we could tell he knew what he was doing. Other experiences, we've had, we so appreciated the confidence that he reflected. Our Inspector, told us we got a phenomenal job, also. A definite great experience in hiring this Contractor. ~ Puyallup WA
Words cannot express how thankful we are. We needed . . outlets in kitchen and outdoors, a grounding rod, a bathroom exhaust fan and an overhead light in our living room, rewiring of several lights in our basement. . . professional, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, prompt, and very reasonably priced. ~ Tacoma, WA
I had several additional outlets placed in various rooms. An outdoor heater and a dedicated circuit run to my media system. Not an easy task through a finished house and basement. The work was performed cleanly, professionally and to code. Rates were very competitive. ~ Tacoma WA
High quality work and great customer service ~ Olympia, WA
