Choosing a Drywall Contractor:
Drywall, also known as as sheet-rock or wall board, is a cost efficient product commonly used on interior walls and ceiling panels in new construction, renovation and repair work. Drywalling is actually a multi-step process. The first step is the sheet-rock installation including cutting, shaping, putting the panels into place and fastening them. Next is taping the seams and then sealing both these and the screw heads with drywall compound. The final step is sanding, apply a finish coat of drywall compound, and then sanding again. The last step should be repeated until the finish is completely smooth. A good drywaller will know how to minimize the dry wall scrap, understand how to properly tape joints and corners, use sufficient coats of drywall compound, and expertly sand the finish. All contractors on this site are licensed and bonded, but should you use another contractor, be sure to verify their Washington State Contractor's License.
Quick Tip: Drywall requires a primer before painting. Don't try to cut corners with a primer - paint combination, as you will just end up spending more money on paint.
